Travel in the footsteps of the Maharajas of centuries past, stay in restored palaces and mahals through Rajasthan, discover unique cultures and experience Indian luxury and hospitality at its very best.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi to Agra

Enjoy a tour of Delhi; see India Gate, the Red Fort and walk through Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid. After lunch, travel to Agra, visiting Sikandra en route. Dinner this evening will be at the ITC Mughal Hotel’s Peshawri Restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Agra

Rise early this morning to view the Taj Mahal in all its glory as the sun is rising. The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Later, stop at a marble inlay workshop, and learn about this intricate skill and visit the Agra Fort. (B,L)

Day 4: Agra to Jaipur

After breakfast depart Agra and drive to Jaipur, known as the ‘Pink City’. En route visit the ancient fortified ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. Upon arrival in Jaipur check into your hotel and enjoy the evening free at your leisure. (B,L)

Day 5: Jaipur

Visit Amer Fort, also known as Amber Fort, situated high on the hills just out of Jaipur. Later, visit the Maharaja’s City Palace, followed by the UNESCO World Heritage listed Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Jaipur to Bijaynagar

After breakfast depart for Bijaynagar, visiting the Kishangarh Fort en route. Upon arrival in Bijaynagar, tour the colourful local markets in the village on foot. Enjoy the evening free at your leisure. (B,L)

Day 7: Bijaynagar to Khimsar

Head west to Khimsar and stay the evening in a 15th-century restored fortress, perched on the edge of the Great Thar Desert. (B,L)

Day 8: Khimsar to Manvar

Travel to Manvar, located in the Great Thar Desert. Upon arrival enjoy a camel and jeep safari through the vast desert that surrounds you. Enjoy your deluxe tented accommodation (or in a resort if camping is unavailable). (B,L,D)

Day 9: Manvar to Jodhpur

Depart Manvar and travel to Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan. Located at the entrance to the Great Thar Desert in a region called Marwar, Jodhpur sits at the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the evening free at your leisure. (B,D)

Day 10: Jodhpur

Enjoy a tour of the city starting with a visit to Jaswant Thada, the royal cremation grounds, before continuing to Mehrangarh Fort. Within the fort are some magnificent palaces with meticulously carved panels and latticed windows. (B)

Day 11: Jodhpur to Deogarh

Drive to Deogarh situated on the banks of the River Betwa. Upon arrival check into your hotel, the Deogarh Mahal, an imposing 17th-century palace standing atop a hill offering a panoramic view of the Aravalli Mountain Range. This evening enjoy a walk through the colourful local streets. (B,D)

Day 12: Deogarh to Udaipur

Drive to Udaipur visiting Ranakpur en route. Continue to Udaipur and check into your hotel, located in the middle of Lake Pichola. This afternoon enjoy a cruise on the 4km long Lake Pichola. (B)

Day 13: Udaipur

Begin your day in Udaipur with a drive around Fateh Sagar Lake, which has a garden café on its island. Later, visit the Folk Museum, Mewar Art Gallery and Sahelion Ki Bari which are located nearby. This afternoon, visit the massive City Palace overlooking Lake Pichola and visit some local market stalls. Enjoy the evening free at your leisure. (B,D)

Day 14: Depart Udaipur

After check-out this morning, farewell Udaipur before you are transferred to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
