Day 1: Arrive Mumbai
Upon arrival in Mumbai you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Mumbai is home to the world’s biggest cinema industry, the ever popular ‘Bollywood’. With some 15 million people living in this teeming metropolis you will see everything from billionaire tycoons living in mansions and high-rise buildings to those who live in the slums surrounding the city. The evening is free at your leisure.
Day 2: Mumbai
Enjoy a tour of Mumbai and its surroundings. Visit Chowpatty Beach, the rock-cut temples at Elephanta Caves, Kamala Nehru Park and Mani Bhavan, where Mahatma Gandhi stayed which is now a converted museum. Continue with a visit to the Dhobi Ghat where Mumbai’s laundry is scrubbed, bashed, dyed and hung out to dry, the perfect place for a photo. Finish your exciting day shopping at the colourful Crawford Market and Flora Fountain. Upon returning to your hotel, the evening is free at your leisure. (B,L)
Day 3: Depart Mumbai
After check-out this morning, farewell Mumbai before you are transferred to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
